So we built something better. 401GO is a retirement platform built from scratch — no legacy infrastructure, no outsourced backend, no army of disconnected vendors held together by manual reconciliation. Just one integrated system designed to make retirement simple for the employers, advisors, and employees everyone else treated as an afterthought.

401GO was founded by a small business owner who tried to do right by his employees and ran headfirst into a system designed to ignore him. That experience — not a market analysis, not a VC thesis — is what this company was built on.
It means we take it personally when a plan is hard to set up, or pricing is impossible to understand, or a participant can’t get a straight answer about their account. We’ve been on the other side of that experience. We built 401GO to be the company we wished existed.

Automation runs deep here. We automate plan setup, payroll sync, compliance updates, contribution processing, and every administrative task that used to eat someone’s afternoon. That’s the point of building a platform from scratch — you can actually get the technology to do the repetitive work.
But we’ve never confused automation with scale-and-abandon. The reason we work so hard on the technology is so our people can focus on the part that matters: the relationship. Every partner, plan sponsor, and participant gets a dedicated human contact — not a ticket queue, not a chatbot, not a rotating support pool. A person who knows their account and picks up the phone.
